The New York Times profiled a new fashion brand, Blackyoto, which creates luxury items by dipping old garments into a deep, black-dye fountain of youth. Sourcing vintage clothing, the company ships them to Kyoto to be dipped, twice, into a natural dye through a process called shinkuro. The result: the deepest, blackest black to reimagine classic styles.
